Today Lou Zrinski has outlined the 2009 Zrinski Racing schedule.

The team will run the ARDC Midget racing schedule with additional selected USAC Midget events for the upcoming season. Donnie Trent, two-time ARDC points runner up in 2003 and 2006 as well as 2006 Susquehanna Speedway Park Point Champion, has signed to drive the Zrinski Racing #18 midget as team driver with Chris Zrinski, who will drive the #25 car.

The Zrinski racing team will field three Stealth/Gaerte powered midgets for Chris & Donnie. Chris is an auto dealer parts manager and Donnie owns Equipment Service Inspections Company in his hometown. Team support and sponsors for the season will be Earl Fellin/Mid Atlantic, Hoosier Tires Mid Atlantic, Expert Collision, Active Disposal, Shaklee Independent Distributor Renee Trent, and a host of contingency ARDC sponsors.

As soon as the 2009 schedule is released you can find it on the driver’s websites, www.chriszrinski.com and www.donnietrent.com. You can keep up to date with race results and schedule changes throughout the season by visiting their sites. Lou, owner of Kraemers Appraisal, indicated the team will be dedicated to the complete ARDC Midget schedule, and will travel to several USAC events if possible, such as Knoxville Nationals, The Hut 100, and 4 Crown Nationals.

They are preparing their cars now to kick off their season at the 2009 January Chili Bowl in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Lou and the team will do several test sessions in early March to prepare for the ARDC season opener. Lou did express that the team goal is to vie for the ARDC title, and of course some wins. However, he smiled and said, “Goals are hard challenges. We’ll race and see how it turns out.”
